We take privacy seriously and are committed to protecting the personal data of our users, especially children and individuals with special needs, like dyslexia. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII). Our focus is on protecting your privacy, and to that end, we do not collect or store personal data or sensitive information. Specifically:

• No User Data: The App does not require account creation or user profiles.
• No Document or Text Storage: Any images captured through the app (for text recognition) are processed entirely on the device and are not uploaded to any servers. The captured images and recognized text remain on your device and are never transmitted to external services.
• No Analytics: We do not collect or share data related to your use of the App, including usage patterns, diagnostics, or performance metrics.

2. Local Processing of Data

All image processing and text recognition in the App is done locally on the user’s device. The App uses Apple’s Vision framework for text recognition and does not send any data to remote servers for processing. This ensures that the App works even without an internet connection and keeps your data private.

3. Camera Access

The App requires access to your device’s camera to allow users to capture images of physical documents for text recognition. This access is essential for the App's functionality. The captured images are only used temporarily for the purpose of recognizing text and are not saved or shared with third parties.

• Purpose of Camera Access: The camera is solely used to capture images of physical documents to extract text, which is then read aloud. These images are processed locally and are not stored or transmitted outside the device.
• User Control: You can revoke the App’s access to your camera at any time through your device settings. However, this will disable the core functionality of the App.

4. Offline Functionality

The App is designed to work entirely offline. No internet connection is required to use its features. All functionality, including capturing images and recognizing text, works locally on the device without any data being sent to remote servers.

5. No Third-Party Access or Sharing

We do not share, sell, or otherwise provide any personal or usage data to third parties. As the App does not collect or store personal data, there is no user information to share with third parties. Furthermore, we do not integrate any third-party services (e.g., analytics, advertising, or social media) that may collect user data.

6. Children’s Privacy

We understand the importance of protecting children's privacy, especially when using educational apps. The App is designed to be child-friendly and does not collect, store, or share any personal information about children or adults. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.

• Parental Consent: The App does not collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at hello@dannyruchtie.nl so we can take the necessary steps to remove the information.

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated privacy policy within the App and update the “Effective Date” at the top of this document. You are encouraged to review this policy regularly to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
